A route with a very varied surface through the Hruboskalsko area in Bohemian Paradise. Along the way, you will encounter everything from roads to forest paths, narrow trails, and wide forest tracks. In the first half of the route you will need to work hard, as it is more technical and hilly. The second half, on the other hand, is very fast, so anyone with energy left can finish strongly. The route is very runnable and has only one more demanding technical section.

The loop starts and finishes at Věžický Pond, known as Věžák, one of the icons of Bohemian Paradise and familiar from many Czech films and fairy tales. The route runs through Hruboskalsko, but only briefly touches the most exposed places so that we can avoid the busiest tourist areas.

Route description:

WARNING: A SHORT PART OF THE ROUTE FOLLOWS AN UNMARKED SECTION. ABOUT 300 METRES AFTER THE U Adamova Lože JUNCTION, YOU MUST TURN LEFT AND RUN PAST THE CEMETERY. AFTER THAT, YOU WILL REJOIN THE RED MARKED TRAIL.

The start is at the car park by Věžák, next to the tourist signpost by the road. The first few hundred metres follow the road along the green marked trail. At the Čertoryje campsite, turn left onto a forest road, still following the green markers.

The green trail leads you along forest paths; after rain, expect mud here. The route also starts to climb gradually.

At the top of the first climb, you cross the road and continue along the green trail, which winds through the forest. Just before the fourth kilometre, there is a steep descent between the rocks, the most technical part of the route. Descend to the Pod Nouzovem junction, turn right and then right again. Continue along a broken forest road to the Pod Radčí junction, where the green trail turns left uphill. This is the second climb of the route. Keep following the green markers.

At Radeč, the route passes a small chapel. Continue briefly along a broken road, about one hundred metres, then return to the trail, turning left between the rocks. This is a slightly more technical section among the rocks, with a few rock steps, then continue along the green trail up a gentle climb.

The trail comes out onto a wide road, followed by the U Radče junction. Turn right onto a wide forest road, cycle route no. 4078, marked red, which takes you all the way to Hrubá Skála. Along the way, you pass turn-offs to viewpoints and the arboretum, but the route avoids them and stays on the road.

A short, steeper climb leads to the U Adamova Lože junction and a small car park. Here, you join the red tourist trail.

From the junction, follow the red markers and after about 300 metres turn off the road onto an unmarked path. After running past the cemetery, turn right and rejoin the red marked trail. The route then follows the red trail mostly downhill back into the valley.

At the Věžické údolí junction, turn right from the red trail onto the yellow tourist trail, with about 1.5 km left to the finish.

Follow the yellow trail, now on flat terrain only, along a wider gravel road. Run around Věžák Pond to the finish.

The finish is at the beginning of the car park by the information boards.
