2. Date and Place of the Event
The Event takes place from May 1, 2026, 00:00 until November 1, 2026, 23:59 (hereinafter referred to as the “Event Duration”) within the territory of the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, and Hungary (hereinafter referred to as the “Event Area”).
3. Participant
Only a natural person over 15 years of age may become a participant in the Event (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant”).
4. Conditions of Participation
4.1
The Participant must complete each stage, i.e. one part of the Event, using a device capable of recording GPS coordinates over time (commonly referred to as a GPS logger or GPS tracker).
The GPS record of the stage route must be saved using the Strava application (via www.strava.com or the Strava mobile app for Android or iOS). This saved record must be publicly visible (not private) and must contain the relevant segment designated for the given challenge.
4.2
The Participant is required to complete the stage route solely using their own physical effort, exclusively by walking or running.
4.3
The Participant is further required to correctly and completely fill in the online registration form, submit it, and subsequently confirm their email address. Registration must be completed within 48 hours after completing the first stage of the entire TRAILTOUR Event, but no later than 12 hours after the day following the last day of the Event.
Each Participant must provide their Strava ID in the registration form.
The Participant registers for the Event (individual national competitions) only once, even if they complete multiple TRAILTOUR stages.
4.4
Stages can only be completed and counted toward the TRAILTOUR results during the Event Duration, i.e. from May 1, 2026 to November 1, 2026, inclusive.
4.5
Participation in the Event is at the Participant’s own risk.
4.6
The Participant acknowledges that individual stages are not officially marked, and the Organizer bears no responsibility for correct navigation or completion of the routes.
4.7
Each Participant may complete each stage any number of times. However, only the 10 fastest attempts will be counted toward the results, including multiple attempts made on the same day.
4.8
Each Participant must upload every completed stage to Strava and make it publicly visible within 48 hours after completion.
If a stage does not pair with the corresponding segment, please follow the instructions in the “How to Participate” section or contact us at trailtour@vavrys.cz.
Failure to comply with this rule significantly reduces the attractiveness of the entire TRAILTOUR and may lead to disqualification.
For any questions or issues, please contact VAVRYS CZ via email at trailtour@vavrys.cz.
5. Evaluation of the Event
5.1
Overall rankings of the national TRAILTOUR competitions will be evaluated in the following age categories:
- Men / Women under 40 years
- Men / Women over 40 years
5.2
Parallel overall rankings will also be evaluated in the following categories (sub-competitions), regardless of age:
- Climber competition (INOV8)
- Men
- Women
- Speed competition – Sprinter (Brooks)
- Men
- Women
- Trail competition – Gravel (Craft)
- Men
- Women
5.3
From the overall results, a club ranking will also be maintained. At the end of the competition, the three best clubs in each national competition will be announced.
Scoring System
Each Participant’s time is converted into a point value, and points earned from individual stages are summed. The winner is the Participant with the highest total number of points across all stages. Failure to complete a stage results in 0 points for that stage.
Point Calculation
Point value (B) is calculated using the following formula:
𝐵=100×(2−𝑇𝑖/𝑇𝑠)B=100×(2−Ti/Ts)
- 𝑇𝑖 is the Participant’s time on a given stage
- 𝑇𝑠 is the average time of the three fastest Participants on that stage (𝑇𝑠=(𝑇1+𝑇2+𝑇3)/3) Ts=(T1+T2+T3)/3
Any Participant whose calculated point value is negative will receive 0 points for the overall evaluation.
- Each stage has a designated comparison coefficient, by which the point value (B) is multiplied.
- The coefficient reflects length, cilmb and predicted time of winner
This coefficient balances short, fast, mostly urban stages (sprinter), which may be repeated multiple times in one day, against longer, more demanding and remote stages (climber, gravel), which cannot be easily repeated in a single day.
- The final score therefore, equals the product of the point value and the stage coefficient.
Live Results
TRAILTOUR results will be automatically updated and published on the Event website in the Live Results section.

Only the top three Participants with the highest total number of points in the overall TRAILTOUR ranking will be awarded in both the men’s and women’s categories.
